Response to Shrek: Parody or Form of Retaliation
Dream Works Shrek reveals a creative form of retaliation inside though its a comic story.  The producer of it is Jeffrey Katzenberg who was once employed by Disney. He helped create many successful films which promoted Disney. However, once Disneys chairman Eisner insulted him and promoted his friend to president. He felt angry and left Disney. He quickly created Dream Works, so there is a tension between Dream Works and Disney. Not long later, Dream Works starts to find a new roadparody. Through his efforts, now Katzenberg puts out blockbuster after blockbuster, while Eisner has to struggle to support Disney.

From my perspective, actually parody is easy to make people amuse and attracts peoples attention. Ktzenberg chooses a creative idea to use in the film. It proves that he is very creative and smart enough to succeed. What I learn is that looking for business opportunity is important. We shouldnt merely stay in our position, in the meanwhile, we should look for our advantages to develop. When we dont like our profession in the future, we should utilize our advantages to find the profession we like and make full use of it.

Response to Insight from a Cinderella Story
“Insight from a Cinderella Story is a article introducing the current film Ever After, which is a Cinderella story. What is most impressive to me is the last paragraph. Actually, when I read a book or watch a film, some similar memory and insights come to my brain. Often the impressive memory cant be forgotten.
There are a great number of similarities that prove that its a Cinderella story. Also there are a series of different points distinctive from the traditional Cinderella story. What is distinctive is that in the traditional Cinderella story, Cinderella is passive to change with the magical help. However, in the this film, the character Drew Barrymore is active to transform from her living situation. Not the prince rescues her, its her that solves her own problems. I think this is the biggest different part between the traditional Cinderella story and this film. In addition, in the film, the helper is a sage not animals, who provides help at a time of anxiety. There are no helpers offering the clothes to her, and no helpers satisfy all her wishes. Thus, in the film, Cinderella transforms by herself actively.
From my point of view, I learn how to sort out my thoughts and state them logically, but not the specific knowledge. When I write my essay, what I should do is to clarify my thoughts and share with audiences methodically rather than pour out in a moment.

Response to Why the Marriage Plot Never Gets Older
When the author encounters the marriage-plot argument, he gets a sinking feeling. He clarifies his opinion about why the marriage plot never gets older. First, he thinks the liberation of women and liberalization of divorce law didnt deprive the novel of the form whose protagonists contended with societal repression. The marriage is dependent mainly on psychological and internal drama rather than external factors. In addition, the marriage plot always has a happy ending. The novels in the contemporary life stand on both sides. Some have a happy ending, while others have a bad ending. Whats more, he thinks that the novels of the twentieth and twenty-first century seem to lack certain qualities that the predecessors possessed.
From my point, I acknowledge that the marriage plot never gets older. Actually, the protagonists in the past century suffer from poverty and hardship. Thus, these protagonists have distinctive features compared to the couples in the contemporary century. They have hard work spirit which isnt embodied on the contemporary couples. Love lasts forever, no matter how long time has passed. With the marriage time becoming longer, their emotion between each other is more and more profound. Not like the initial love, long-time touch with each other make their love become another kind of love. This kind of love is similar to the love between relatives. The marriage plot never gets older.

Uniqueness Makes Him Successful
Through reading this article, I find that RuPual is a unique and special person, who lives as a man and performs as a woman. However, due to the uniqueness of him which is different from others that makes him famous. This feature makes him succeed.
From my point of view, I think that the uniqueness is significant for us to differ from others. Maybe in the future, this feature will make you fruitful. Thus, cultivating a unique habit is indispensable. The traditional men are masculine, active, aggressive and powerful, while women are emotional, delicate and beautiful. Rupual grabs the biggest difference between the appearance of men and women. In addition, he dares to challenge the traditional definition of beauty and breaks the traditional thinking. He succeeds through distinctive performance and the daring clothing style. Let me take Lady Gage for an example. She also explains a different style of beauty to us. Its her uniqueness that differs her from so many singers and makes her well-known to us so quickly. If both of them dont have such a uniqueness, then probably others dont know them at all and their life will be different from what is now.
For most of us, maybe we dont have such uniqueness like them, but we can have a strength that differs from most of people. Just because of this,  a great number of little children learn to play an instrument or dance. Their parents would like their children to have a strength. In conclusion, uniqueness can make a person be distinctive.

Respond to Cinderella and Feminism
The Cinderella story is presented to children at a young age. Because American literary is male, there is a strong need for a female. In addition, the fairy tale comes much earlier than the school education. If the little girls know about it early, they will have no question about tradition and can clear identify male and female. In the Cinderella story, not only Cinderella is a female, but also her stepmother and two stepsisters are all female. The difference is that she is like a angle, but they are like monster. Through reading this story, the little girls will look forward to their future life.and dream about a prince fulfilling their life. Whats more, they play a subordinate role in their future family and they will think its their duty to care for their family.
From my point of view, I hold the view that female should be like Cinderella who depends on the prince to transform. The female in s new era should rely on themselves rather than others. Cinderella was quite fortunate to meet with the prince, but if she didnt meet with him, then maybe she still did heavy labor and served for her stepmother and stepsisters. Thus, I think that only the female has great competence can they lead to a happy life without others’ help. The little girls should be taught to be independent and make effort.s rather than dream that the appearance of a prince to help them out. That is not reliable! Looking forward to dreaming is just a wast of time and has no function. Recent female should find a good job and struggle for a good life rather than just would like to marry to a rich husband and live happily ever after. In conclusion, female should rely on themselves and make efforts to succeed.

Smile Spontaneously

Smile Spontaneously
In Amy Cunningham “Why Women Smile”, She talks about her view about false smile through her own experience and the philosopher’s theoretic support. She holds the view that a woman should smile spontaneously according to how herself feels rather than according to what someone else needed.
First of all, Amy points out that “hasn’t been serving me well”, because she smiles for whatever the reason rather than smile spontaneously. She realizes that she wears false smile is not appropriate and she wants to change. Then she talks the smile from herself to the whole women in the world. All of them have one in common: What’s on the surface is not what they feel.
From my perspective, actually, we often wear smile on the face, while we didn’t feel pleasant or happy inside the heart. This is not what we want, however we have no choice. Sometimes I feel unhappy and sad, but I wouldn’t like to make my friends and relatives worry about me. So we have to pretend that I have a good day and wear a false smile to them. In fact, there are exactly a great number of smiles expressing our emotion, such as joy, amusement, relief, sad, etc. Smiles seem to be a blend of nature and nurture. Women smile more than men is a truth. On the one hand, women mature earlier than men. Just like the words in the article “our smiles provide an extremely versatile means of production”, sometimes a smile protects ourselves. On the other hand, women need to protect themselves more because they are more likely to suffer pain.
It’s magical for people to learn smiles, because no one teaches them and they only learn through watching the parents’ behaviors. Even the blind persons who can’t see how parents smile learn to smile. In fact, sometimes women are force to smile but to have no choice. For an instance, some women work for waitress, the personal assistant or receptionist, the flight attendant, etc. They have to wear smiles all the day because their jobs require a good sevice. Smiles provide an appetency. If they behave their own emotions on their faces, they are more likely to be fired.
Actually, real smiles have beneficial physiological effects, while false ones do nothing for us at all. However, sometimes we still need to wear false smiles which can’t be controlled by ourselves. If there is no necessity to wear a smile, just present what you feel in your heart. Smile spontaneously for yourself rather than the environment or the society!
